PRESENTATIONS & WORKSHOPS

1. The Creation of a Picture Book from Idea to Finished Product.
May include props, slides, readings and discussion (Snow in Jerusalem and/or Hanukkah Moon) adapted to each audience. (all ages).

3. The Writing Process. (all ages)
4. Research and Revision. (ages 7 to adult)
5. Reading, Thinking, and Writing about Other Cultures. (all ages)
6. Highlights of Writing and Publishing Children’s Books.
The basics of how to do it. (ages high school--adult)
7. Surviving the Writing Life.
Includes use of time and dealing with rejections. (advanced writers only).
Individual programs are tailored to the audience, last about 50 minutes each and include a discussion period. Books, if desired, are signed at a separate time and should be ordered at least one month in advance. Prior advertising is desirable. Books may be ordered from any bookstore or online distributor.
FEES: Compensation is arranged individually according to program needs, time involved and travel. A percentage is donated to Animal Advocates of Howard County,MD.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: If slides or other audio-visual material is to be used, the room must be darkened when needed. The presenter would appreciate the following items: a long table, a straight-backed chair, a podium, a microphone (preferably detachable), bottled water, a ten-minute break between sessions, and teacher attendance with students. If slides will be used, please provide a slide projector and screen.
